Baum Family

Researching:
Johann Heinrich Wilhelm Baum (born 24 Dec 1799, Lautenthal, Prussia - died 13 Jul 1858, Dog Trap Farm) and wife Johanne Christiane Friederick nee Hartmann (born 31 May 1803, Prussia - died 8 Jun 1888 Forest Range)

Left Bremen on 25 Oct 1848 on The George Washington and arrived in Adelaide on 2 Mar 1849 with their 4 children. Settled at Callington farming and mining.

1. Carl Heinrich Wilhelm married Mathilde Caroline Augusta Grimm (8 children)
2. August Wilhelm Philip married Johanna Dorothea Thiele (7 children) and then Anna Augusta Braendler (9 children)
3. Ludewig Johan Wilhelm married Louise Matilde Marks (10 children)
4. Louise Wilhemine Charlotte married Ernst August Wilhelm Grimm (1 child)

Mine is the family of August Wilhelm Philip and Johanna Dorothea [Thiele] - buried at Callington. Family names in this group include Blight, Trevenen, Copeland, Martin, Green, Bartholomew.
Family names from the second family of August with Anna [Braendler] include Gower, Sedgley, Brock. August and Anna moved from Monarto to Forest Range (Broom Hall) and later to Maylands. They are buried at Collinswood.

Family names in Germany include Baum, Hartmann, Kohler, Warlisch, Riemann and Jaacksch.

I would be happy to talk with anyone with information about the German families or any of the descendents, in particular descendents of August Wilhelm Philip and Johanna Dorothea.

Hi Jo - you left a message on my blog site in relation to Braendler family of Broom Hall. I notice also that you are researching Thiele and would be interested in talking to you about both families. Email me on jks58@adam.com.au
